Seems the latest trend in real estate is creating your own blog to sell your house. There are a number of examples of sellers who have done this, including Alan Weinkrantz, a public relations professional living in San Antonio. In the time he was listing his house, Weinkrantz enticed potential buyers with restaurant reviews (including the offer of a free meal at a local eatery to anyone who bought his house), neighborhood news and even a copy of an inspection report requisitioned by a prospective buyer. Weinkrantz actually got a contract on his house in early October – just about the time he was discovered by the national media – and he devotes much of his October postings to “look at me” postings about all the media attention he’s getting. Go back to September and you’ll see all the entries that eventually helped him sell his house.
