Death By Blogs? Not so fast....

WPP Group's Neil French, who resigned this week amid some remarks over women at an ad industry event is now blaming his fate on blogs.

WPP Group's Neil French, who resigned this week amid (as the NYTimes puts it): "an uproar over remarks he made at an industry event about female creative executives" is now blaming his fate on blogs. So having gotten into trouble for some apparently ill thoughtout remarks about women, he's doing the same thing with blogs?

In an Q&A with Ad Age, French said about the interpretation of the remarks:
"You had to be there. I laugh a lot on stage and I say outrageous things, but people come to be entertained."

Apparently Nancy Vonk of Ogilvy Toronto, a unit of WPP Group, who was in the audience, wasn't entertained and she wrote a commentary about it.
