Don’t pitch business on the laurels of your client’s brand, but on the specific solutions you provide them. Diversify your skill set. Offer many solutions. Don’t project one process, or one answer.
And when you pitch a new client project, don’t look for the obvious parallel in your portfolio. Pick something that’s related thematically, but in a different industry. Take that opportunity to not only showcase the work but to demonstrate your thinking by comparing the two industries.
