Lehman Keeps 'Equal-Weight' on Rent-A-Center

Analyst Alan Rifkin sees Friday's weakness as a buying opportunity

Lehman Brothers is keeping it equal-weight rating on Rent-A-Center (RCII ), after the shares fell Friday amid accounting concerns.

Analyst Alan Rifkin says in this market, people shoot first, ask questions later, but he just spoke to Rent-A-Center's president and the company's earnings estimates remain intact. Rifkin says he stands by his $1.26 fourth quarter and $5.45 2003 earnings per share estimates, and sees Friday's weakness as a buying opportunity.
