Investors interested in a new futures contract pegged to the Standard & Poor's 500-stock index can practice trading online. The new E-mini S&P 500 contract, valued at one-tenth that of the version traded by institutional investors, was launched on Sept. 9 by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
