The National Association of Manufacturers is caught in the middle of a nasty trade feud between Eastman Kodak Co. and Fuji Photo Film Co. NAM member Kodak wants the group to send a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor strongly supporting Kodak's unfair-trade complaint against Fuji. But NAM balked at the urging of another member, Polaroid Corp., which fears Kodak's case may hurt its sales in Japan. Possible compromise: a tepid letter of support.
