Your story leaves me cold ("A breast-implant deal comes down to the wire," Legal Affairs, Sept. 4). Breast implants are not a medical necessity or even a medical recommendation: They are the result of a voluntary decision. If there are certain consequences as a result of that decision, those consequences are those of the individual alone. No one else made the decision, and no one else should be liable for any risk.
