Regarding Joan Warner's article, "Bargain hunters, lock and load" (Cover Story, Jan. 16), I liked the concluding thought: "Just as there's no free lunch, there's no emerging market that delivers the rewards without the risks."
But how about Argentina? It has relatively low debt and gifted people. The army is no longer a problem. And it is finally headed by a Peronist who made his way up through the ranks of the labor movement and is no more of a socialist than Rockefeller.
I do believe Argentina is the exception to that ending quote.
