Anyone with a little computer experience knows that software quality control isn't always what it should be. But the New Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, sold as part of the popular Sound Blaster CD-ROM kits, marks a new low. If the computer's video isn't properly configured for the program, it displays the error message: Picture Not Is Supported Format. Grolier says the message will be replaced with a less cryptic version in a future release.
