Elevator music is going Latin. Muzak, which has pumped out bland, soothing sounds for 60 years, is chasing the Spanish-speaking audience with a new music program. "The Hispanic population is growing faster than any other" U.S. ethnic group, reasons John Jester, president of the Seattle-based company. But those who like their salsa hot will be disappointed. The new playlist, Latin Styles, features mostly lulling tunes from Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and other middle-of-the-road types.
