I just read the article "Does Chrysler finally have the Jeep that it needs?" (Science & Technology, Jan. 20) about the new Grand Cherokee. I don't quite understand what Chrysler has in mind with the "planned slow production start-up to assure high quality."
My '89 Cherokee had been in production for over five years when it was built, yet it had the quality and reliability of a '62 Fiat. After dishingout over $1,000 a year for 2 1/2 years I finally threw in the towel and sold it.
