ReneSola Suppling 5.4 Megawatts of Modules for Project in India

ReneSola Ltd. (SOL), a Chinese solar-panel maker, will sell 5.4 megawatts of modules to Welspun Energy Pvt. Ltd. for a project in India.

ReneSola is providing 240-watt and 245-watt panels made at its factory in India to meet local-content requirements, the Jiashan, China-based company said today in a statement. Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.

ReneSola and New Delhi-based Welspun “hope to expand the project,” pending regulatory approval, according to the statement.
