The Zamudio-based manufacturer will supply EDP Renovaveis SA with 95 G114 2-megawatt machines for its Waverly wind farm in Coffey County, Kansas, Gamesa said today in an e-mailed statement. In Mexico, it’ll supply 50 G97 2-megawatt turbines to a wind farm being developed in central Mexico by an unidentified “big utility,” it said.
The machines for EDPR are due for delivery in the third quarter of 2015, with the farm slated for commissioning by year-end, Gamesa said. They’re part of a wider framework agreement between both companies for the supply of up to 450 megawatts of turbines in the U.S. through 2016.
The Mexican order is due for delivery in the first quarter of 2015, with the wind farm due for completion by the end of the year, Gamesa said.
