BNP Paribas to Remain U.S. Investment Adviser After Guilty Plea

BNP Paribas SA (BNP), the French bank that pleaded guilty today to violating U.S. sanctions laws, won’t be prevented from serving as an investment adviser.

The bank won a temporary reprieve from a ban on serving as an investment adviser under an order issued today by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
