Barclays Said to Remove White From Daily Equities Role Amid Suit

Barclays Plc (BARC) temporarily removed Bill White from his job overseeing electronic equities trading to focus on the bank’s response to a lawsuit this week from New York’s attorney general, said a person briefed on the matter.

White isn’t being suspended, said the person, who requested anonymity because the decision hasn’t been announced publicly. The Wall Street Journal reported on the move earlier today. Brandon Ashcraft, a spokesman for London-based Barclays, declined to comment.
