Suncor, Ecolab, SK Invest in Emerald Clean Tech Fund

Suncor Energy Inc., Ecolab Inc. (ECL) and SK Group invested in Emerald Technology Ventures AG’s clean tech fund, boosting money raised to almost $100 million.

The three join investors including Evonik Industries AG and ABB Ltd., Emerald said today in an e-mailed statement. The Zurich-based firm declined to say how much each invested.

The fund is the third from Emerald, which has put money into companies including marine-energy developers Pelamis Wave Power Ltd., Oceanlinx Ltd. and AquaSpy Inc., a developer of systems to monitor soil moisture and boost crop yields.
