Ontario Liberals Win Provincial Election, CBC Projects

Ontario voters have re-elected Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal Party in elections today, upgrading her to a majority government from a minority mandate, according to projections by CBC television.

The Liberals were elected or ahead in 57 of 107 districts, the Progressive Conservatives were taking 28 districts and the New Democratic Party had 22, according to tabulations broadcast by CBC at 10:05 p.m. Toronto time.
