James, who missed the final four minutes of the Heat’s loss in Game 1 because of leg cramps, hit 14-of-22 shots in Miami’s 98-96 victory at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The Spurs had won their past eight home playoff games by at least 15 points, a National Basketball Association record.
Miami, which has won the past two NBA championships, has now won their last 13 playoff games following a loss, the league’s longest active streak.
The best-of-seven NBA Finals now shifts to Miami for the next two games, with Game 3 scheduled for June 10.
