Sharapova Takes Second Set to Level Semifinal With Bouchard

Maria Sharapova of Russia, the 2012 French Open champion, won the second set of her semifinal at tennis’s Roland Garros against Eugenie Bouchard to level the match at 1-set all.

Sharapova took the set 7-5 after Bouchard, a 20-year-old Canadian, won the opener 6-4. Bouchard is the 18th seed at the tennis Grand Slam.

The other finalist will be decided when Simona Halep of Romania takes on Germany’s Andrea Petkovic later today.
