A unit of Bit-isle Inc. (3811), an operator of Internet data centers, will build an 11-megawatt solar power station in southwestern Japan to diversify its business.
The plant will be set up in Kagoshima prefecture and will be completed in March 2015, Bit-isle said in a statement today.
The project is expected to cost as much as 6 billion yen ($59 million), according to the statement. Bit-isle is based in Tokyo.
