Draghi Discussed ECB Transparency With EU Ombudsman O’Reilly

European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly said she spoke this week with European Central Bank President Mario Draghi about the ECB’s transparency plans.

“Two days ago, I met with the head of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, to discuss his organization’s plans to become more transparent and accountable as the reach and influence of the bank becomes greater in light of the new measures that have been introduced to attempt to avoid the repetition of the economic and banking collapse of recent years,” O’Reilly said in a speech in Brussels today.
