N.J. Transit Stop at Newark Airport Closes for Weeks of Repairs

The New Jersey Transit stop at Newark Liberty International Airport is closed today through mid-July for repairs to the airport’s internal rail system.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport, will provide bus service between Newark Penn Station and all three of the airport’s terminals, a New Jersey Transit press release said. The authority is fixing the AirTrain, which usually runs from New Jersey Transit’s airport stop to the terminals.

Travelers should purchase round-trip tickets from their originating station to the airport, and will need the ticket to board the bus. The buses will run on a “load-and-go” basis, the release said.
