E. & J. Gallo Buys Ledgewood Creek Winery in California

E&J. Gallo Winery acquired Ledgewood Creek winery and vineyard in California’s North Coast district, adding to resources for its premium wine business, according to a company statement on PRNewswire.

Ledgewood Creek, in Solano County east of Napa Valley, is a 400-acre (162-hectare) ranch with about 230 acres of vineyard and produces a variety of grapes including chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, according to the statement.

Gallo has vineyards in both California and Washington, as well as importing wines from 14 wineries internationally, according to the company’s statement. Brands include Gallo Family Vineyards, Barefoot Cellars, Bridlewood and Edna Valley Vineyard.
