Shipments of Californian wine within the U.S. rose 3 percent in volume terms to 215 million cases last year and climbed 5 percent in dollar terms to a retail value of $23.1 billion, Drinks Business Review said.
California wine sales in all markets, including overseas, rose 3 percent to 258 million cases last year, according to DBR’s website. U.S. wine exports, 90 percent of which came from California, reached $1.55 billion in winery revenues last year, up 16.4 percent from 2012, DBR said.
