Manchester United Reaches Settlement With Fired Manager Moyes

Manchester United has reached a settlement with fired coach David Moyes, the League Managers Association said.

“The League Managers Association and Manchester United are pleased to confirm that terms of settlement have been agreed between the club and David Moyes in respect of the termination of his employment,” the LMA, which represents managers in English soccer leagues, said today in an e-mailed statement. “A settlement agreement is in the process of being finalised. No further comment will be made in relation to this issue.”

Ryan Giggs replaced Moyes, a 50-year-old picked by former manager Alex Ferguson, three days ago. United has four games remaining of its worst-ever Premier League season after losing 11 of its 34 league games under Moyes. It’s in seventh place a year after winning a record 20th English title under Ferguson.
