CUNY’s Milanovic on Piketty, Work on Income Inequality (Audio)

Branko Milanovic, senior scholar at the Luxembourg Income Study Center at CUNY, explains why “Capital in the Twenty-First Century,” a new book by Thomas Piketty analyzing the roots of income inequality, is making waves in the world of economics. He also discusses the work being done at the LIC to standardize the economic measures used to analyze income data from around the world. Milanovic speaks with Bloomberg’s Kathleen Hays and Vonnie Quinn on Bloomberg Radio’s "The Hays Advantage” ahead of a special presentation by Piketty, along with economists Paul Krugman, Joseph Stiglitz, and Steven Durlauf, which CUNY will stream live on its website tonight.
