Marubeni Corp. (8002), a Japanese trading company that’s developing solar and wind power projects, will build a 28.3 megawatt solar power station in northern Japan.
The plant will be set up at a farmland damaged by the 2011 tsunami in Miyagi prefecture as part of reconstruction efforts, Tokyo-based Marubeni said in a statement today.
The station is expected to start running next April, according to the statement.
