Michael Liebreich, founder and advisory board chairman of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and Charles Anderson, director of the United Nations Environment Programme, discuss the findings and ramifications of “Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment 2014,” the annual report they produce jointly along with the Frankfurt School-UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance. Liebrich says the report, which has become “the industry Bible,” shows that renewable energy’s share of world electricity generation kept climbing last year despite a drop in investments. They spoke with Bloomberg’s Kathleen Hays from the BNEF 2014 summit in New York on April 7 on Bloomberg Radio’s "The Hays Advantage”.
