Princeton Accepts 7.3% of Freshman Applicants for 2014-2015

Princeton University accepted 7.3 percent of students applying for its freshman class, the most competitive in the school’s history.

Princeton admitted 1,939 out of 26,641 applicants, the Ivy League school in Princeton, New Jersey, said today in a statement. Applications increased less than 1 percent from last year.

High school students are being notified today about acceptances to the eight Ivy League colleges in the Northeast. Students have until May 1 to decide whether to attend.

Alumni of Princeton include First Lady Michelle Obama and Eric Schmidt, chairman of Google Inc.
