Mali to Get $75 Million From Canada for Irrigation, L’Essor Says

Mali and Canada signed an agreement for the West African country to receive 36 billion CFA Francs ($75 million) for irrigation projects, the state-owned l’Essor newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information.

The funding intention was signed by Canada Ambassador Louis de Lorinier and Mali Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Zahabi Ould Sidi Mohamed on March 21, the newspaper said.
