Gamesa and Santander to Build 500 Megawatts of Mexico Projects

Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA (GAM), Spain’s largest turbine maker, has agreed to develop with Banco Santander SA (SAN) as much as 500 megawatts of wind-power capacity in Mexico.

The wind farms will be developed in the state of Oaxaca during the next three years, Zamudio, Spain-based Gamesa said today in a statement on its website. The company already has installed more than 1,000 megawatts of capacity in Mexico, according to the statement.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
