MetLife Names Campbell Soup CEO Morrison to Insurer’s Board

MetLife Inc. (MET), the largest U.S. life insurer, named Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) Chief Executive Officer Denise Morrison to the board of directors.

Morrison, 60, was elected to the position effective today, New York-based MetLife said in a statement.

Hugh Price will remain on the insurer’s board until the annual meeting. He can’t stand for reelection because he’ll have reached MetLife’s mandatory retirement age of 72, Randy Clerihue, a company spokesman, said in an e-mail.
