England Chooses Wilson Against Ireland in Rugby’s Six Nations

Bath prop forward David Wilson was chosen by England to replace the injured Dan Cole for the Six Nations rugby game against unchanged Ireland this weekend.

The inclusion of Wilson, who’ll make his 32nd international appearance, is the only alteration to the side that started in the 20-0 win over Scotland two weeks ago.

“He’s been fantastic in training this week and he’s ready to play,” Stuart Lancaster, England’s head coach, said at a news conference ahead of the Twickenham match.

It’s the third round of games in this year’s tournament. England lost its opener against France, while Ireland has beaten Scotland and Wales.

Defending champion Wales, with one win, hosts unbeaten France tomorrow evening while Italy and Scotland, with two losses apiece, play the next day, a few hours before the England-Ireland match.
