World Bank’s IFC May Loan $61 Million for Croatia Wind Project

International Finance Corp., the World Bank’s private-sector financing arm, may loan 45 million euros ($61 million) to help build a 34.2-megawatt wind farm in Croatia.

Vjetroelektrana Rudine D.O.O. is developing the wind farm, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) northwest of Dubrovnik, and is expected to begin construction in the first half of 2014, according to a Jan. 31 statement on the IFC’s website. The entire project may cost about 62 million euros.
