Canadian Solar to Supply 10 Megawatts for Ontario Solar Plant

Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), the best-performing solar manufacturer last year, agreed to supply 10 megawatts of modules for a project in Ontario.

Silvercreek Solar Park Inc.’s first utility-scale project in the province is expected to begin producing electricity in July, Guelph, Ontario-based Canadian Solar said today in a statement. The solar farm in Elgin County will power about 1,700 homes. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Canadian Solar increased more than eightfold in 2013, the most in the Bloomberg Industries Global Large Solar Energy Index.
