Kennedy, 44, will be a director in the Teachers’ Private Capital team, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. He previously spent 16 years at U.K.-based private-equity firm Duke Street Capital Ltd., including 11 as a partner.
The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan had $129.5 billion in net assets at the end of 2012, according to the statement. The organization invests assets and administers the pensions of 303,000 working and retired teachers in Ontario.
