Target Sued by Connecticut Bank Over Fallout From Data Breach

Target Corp. (TGT)’s consumer credit- and debit-card data breach cost Connecticut-based Putnam Bank and other lenders money because it forced them to issue customer alerts and new cards while reimbursing account-holders for their own losses due, according to a complaint filed today in federal court in Minneapolis.
