Ryanair 2013 Passenger Numbers Rise 2% to 81.4 Million Travelers

Ryanair Holdings Plc (RYA), Europe’s biggest low-cost airline, added 2 percent more passengers last year, bringing the total to 81.4 million.

The airline filled 83 percent of available seats on average over the 12 months. Ryanair flew 5 million people in December, up from 4.8 million a year earlier, the Dublin-based carrier said in a statement.

Europe’s second-largest low-cost carrier, EasyJet Plc (EZJ), and Aer Lingus Group Plc (AERL), Ireland’s No. 2 airline, will release their full-year 2013 traffic statistics on Jan. 7.
