Veolia Water Unit to Discuss 700 Voluntary Job Cuts With Unions

Veolia Eau France told worker representatives on Nov. 28 that it would open talks on about 700 voluntary departures, the company said in a statement today.

Veolia Eau France expects a reduction of 400 jobs through attrition in 2014 after 500 in 2013, the company said in an e-mailed statement.

The company plans to add 500 jobs by bringing in-house some services that are currently contracted out.
