Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), this year’s second-best performer on the Nasdaq Stock Market, will supply 100 megawatts of modules for four power plants in China.
Deliveries to Zhenfa New Energy Science & Technology Co. for three projects in Gansu province and one in Inner Mongolia are expected to be complete next month, the Guelph, Ontario-based company said today in a statement.
“Chinese demand for solar modules going into the first quarter of 2014 remains strong,” Chief Executive Officer Shawn Qu said in the statement. “We currently expect demand for solar modules in China to exceed 10 gigawatts in 2014.”
