Calgon Carbon’s Chairman to Retire at End of Term at 2014 AGM

Calgon Carbon Corp. (CCC), whose ultraviolet and activated carbon technologies help clean water and air, said Chairman Seth Schofield will retire at the 2014 annual shareholders’ meeting.

The Pittsburgh-based company said Schofield, a director since 1995, will step down at the end of his term in May and that the 74-year-old won’t be replaced on the board, reducing its number to nine. Calgon Carbon, whose shares have risen 37 percent this year, said the board will elect a new chairman later.
