Diamondbacks Get Mark Trumbo From Angels in Three-Team MLB Trade

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired Mark Trumbo, who hit 34 home runs this past season for the Los Angeles Angels, as part of a three-team Major League Baseball trade, the teams said in news releases.

As part of the deal announced yesterday, the Chicago White Sox acquired outfielder Adam Eaton from Arizona and left-handed pitchers Hector Santiago and Tyler Skaggs went to the Angels.

Trumbo, 27, an outfielder who played 123 games at first base this past season because Albert Pujols was injured, drove in 100 runs. With the Diamondbacks, he’ll partner with Paul Goldschmidt, who led the National League in 2013 with 125 RBIs and tied for the league lead with 36 home runs.
