USC Hires Washington’s Sarkisian as Football Coach, ESPN Reports

The University of Southern California is hiring Steve Sarkisian as football coach, ESPN reported, citing people familiar with the situation.

Sarkisian, 39, had been the University of Washington coach since 2009, compiling a record of 34 wins and 29 losses. He played collegiately at USC and was later an offensive assistant at the school.

Lane Kiffin was dismissed as coach in September and replaced on an interim basis by Ed Orgeron.
