SoftBank Unit and Mitsui to Build 2 Solar Stations in Japan

SoftBank Corp. (9984)’s renewable energy unit and Mitsui & Co. (8031) will build two solar power stations in Japan.

A 22.4-megawatt station will be built in Kumamoto prefecture in southwestern Japan, SB Energy Corp. and Mitsui said in a statement today. Financial terms weren’t provided.

A 19.6-megawatt plant will be set up in the southwestern prefecture of Fukuoka, according to the statement.

Construction of both facilities will begin in January and the plants are expected to start by March 2015.
