Nigeria Beats Ethiopia 2-0 to Qualify for 2014 Soccer World Cup

Ethiopian players celebrate after scoring against Nigeria on October 13, 2013 during a 2014 World Cup qualifying match in Addis Ababa.

Nigeria defeated Ethiopia 2-0 to become the first team from Africa to qualify for the 2014 soccer World Cup in Brazil.

Victor Moses and Victor Obinna scored as Nigeria completed a 4-1 victory in the two-game playoff. The Super Eagles will be making their fifth World Cup apperance.

The second of five African berths will be filled later today as Ivory Coast takes a 3-1 lead into its match against Senegal.
