RBC Hires Stanicky, Francis to Expand in U.S. Health Care

Royal Bank of Canada, the country’s largest lender, hired Randall Stanicky and David Francis as managing directors to expand coverage of U.S. health-care companies at its investment bank.

Stanicky joined in New York as lead analyst for the specialty and generic pharmaceuticals group of RBC Capital Markets, the Toronto-based firm said today in an e-mailed statement. Stanicky has 14 years of experience, and previously covered health care for Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. (CF), Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Citigroup Global Asset Management.

Francis, a former managing director at Jefferies Group LLC, joined RBC’s Nashville, Tennessee, office, where he covers health-care information technology and distribution services, the company said. Francis, who has more than 20 years of experience, was last at JAAG Group, a research and advisory firm where he was founder and managing partner.
