BMO Hires Putrino for U.S. Real Estate Banking

Bank of Montreal, Canada’s fourth-biggest lender by assets, hired Sachem Street Capital Advisors LLC’s John Putrino as a managing director for U.S. real estate investment banking for BMO Capital Markets.

Putrino will be based in Washington, the firm said today in an e-mailed statement. BMO has been active in North American real estate for more than a decade, with Mark Decker leading the group since 2011, said Martha McInnis, a spokeswoman for the firm.

BMO also hired Joel Fishbein as a senior analyst covering software companies for the technology, telecommunications and media-equity research group, according to a separate e-mail. Fishbein, who was previously with Lazard Capital Markets LLC, starts Nov. 18 in New York and will report to Christine Farkas, director of U.S. equity research, the firm said.
