Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez Is Named in England Soccer Squad

England soccer manager Roy Hodgson gave Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez a first call-up to the national squad for games against Chile and Germany.

Fellow Saints Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert are also selected after their club started the season strongly, standing sixth in the Premier League after 10 games.

The exhibition matches are at Wembley on Nov. 15 and Nov. 19. The Football Association announced the squad on its website.
