Vancouver October Home Sales Rose 37.8% on Year, Realtors Say
Home sales in the greater Vancouver area rose 37.8 percent in October from a year earlier, the city’s real estate board said.
Home sales totaled 2,661 units last month, compared with 1,931 in October 2012, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver said in an e-mailed statement. Sales were 2.8 percent above the 10-year average for the month, it said. A composite benchmark price for the city was C$600,700 ($576,266), down 0.5 percent from a year ago, the group said.
