RealD Inc. (RLD), a provider of 3-D technology to cinemas, plans to cut 20 percent of its jobs as a result of slowing installations.
The company, based in Beverly Hills, California, plans to record costs of $3.8 million to $4.1 million over the remaining two quarters of its 2014 fiscal year, according to a regulatory filing today.
RealD had 163 employees at the end of March, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The company said the 3-D business is maturing in several markets.
